Brenda Stewart - Acrylic Paintings

About Brenda

I concentrate on impressionist style landscapes and seascapes in oil and acrylic.  I work from plein air sketches and my own photographs.  The main inspiration for my work is the rolling Northamptonshire landscape and the Cornish coast.

I am constantly experimenting and have attended a number of valuable courses at the Newlyn School of Art.   Life drawing is also important to me as I particularly enjoy immersing myself in the observational discipline of obtaining a likeness of the human body.  I use my camera to capture scenes and mood and occasionally display prints.

I have exhibited my work in various locations in Buckingham through BAFA and at the Heseltine Gallery in Middleton Cheney.  In 2019 I took part in the South Northamptonshire  Art Trail with fellow artists.
