Jolly Fused Glass Flowers Bouquet - Glass Fusing Workshop for all levels
Make a bouquet of colourful Fused Glass Flowers & learn simple fused glass techniques in this half-day mini workshop

"A really well planned and researched class, a great learning experience!" - Cate

This half-day course is a great introduction to simple glass fusing techniques, with time to make a bouquet of three (or more) jolly fused glass flowers, each around 12cm in diameter.
The course will give you an appreciation of some of the key materials used in fusing, plus an insight in to kiln operation and firing schedules.

With a maximum of 7 students you can be sure of plenty of attention and guidance throughout the class.

These glass flowers are often described as 'Forever Flowers' or 'Scandi' flowers as they'll last for years and can be enjoyed in a vase, in your garden, or displayed among other plants in your home and will never fade or wilt.

Jolly Fused Glass Flowers Bouquet Fusing course for up to 7 people

First you'll learn how to cut glass under our expert guidance, and then cut the petal shapes for your flowers from clear fusible glass.

You'll then decorate your flower shapes using coloured glass frits and powders and crushed coloured glass, beads dots and more to your own colour and design themes.

Once your petal shapes are decorated you'll lay them out ready to be fired.

We'll then teach you how to cut the fibre material to create mini moulds for your flowers, ready for firing.
Your pieces will be fired flat and then fired again in the moulds you've made to give the charmingly curved flower shape.
After firing, we'll glue your flowers on to the copper stems we provide.

Your finished bouquet of flowers can be 'planted' indoors or outside in your garden!

If there's time, you can choose to make an extra flower for an additional cost of £13.50 per flower including VAT, payable during the workshop.

The course cost of £109 inc VAT per person includes:

  • All glass materials for the flowers including clear glass, frits and powders
  • Fibre mat to make your moulds
  • Copper stems to mount your flowers on - approx 35cm tall
  • Full tuition throughout
  • Use of tools and protective gear
  • Refreshments during the session including herbal teas, decaffeinated drinks & gluten-free biscuits
  • 1 tutor, maximum class size 7 people
  • All your flowers to take home after firing (approx 2 weeks)
  • Class runs for approx 3 -4 hours
  • Eligibility for our Project Day Programme with preferential prices for project firings
  • Special Poppy class runs in late October, with your poppies fired and ready in advance of Armistice Day
