Create your own charming winter scene glass art on this half-day Christmas workshop for beginners and those with some glass fusing experience
In this workshop you'll discover how to create a beautiful, textured piece of fused glass art for Christmas, combining coloured glass, enamel pens, glass frit, crushed coloured glass and stringers.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, but If you've already enjoyed learning the basics of glass fusing on one of our beginner's classes, this is a lovely opportunity to make a seasonal piece for Christmas - a table centre piece, for your window ledge with a tealight behind or as a gift!
The starting point for projects on this class is a base layer of COE 90 clear fusible glass, 24cm long, already cut for you.
You'll cut coloured sections of glass if you wish, or simply use frit, enamel pens, noodles and crushed coloured glass to build up your piece.
There will be pre-cut tree shapes to choose from if you prefer not to cut your own.
You can create your own design or take inspiration from the examples on show in the studio.
Once your piece is ready for the kiln, we'll fire it and let you know when it's ready for collection - approximately 1-2 weeks.
The course cost of £89 inc VAT includes:
- 24cm fusible glass base for your project
- Clear and coloured fusible glass, frit, enamel pens and stringers to make your project
- Use of all tools and apron
- Refreshments during the session including herbal teas, decaffeinated drinks & gluten-free biscuits and Christmas treats
- Maximum class size 7 people for individual attention
- Two kiln firings
- All your work to keep, after firing
- Class runs at the times shown below at our Northants studio near Towcester
