On these new classes, experienced watercolour painter and art teacher Clare Tebboth will introduce you to a loose expressive style of painting, exploring a number of natural themes as subject matter. Suitable for beginners although all painters will find much to learn!
Clare's new Watercolours workshops will provide you with the scope to develop your existing skills and observational techniques, or get you started on your new artistic journey as a painter!
Introduction to Watercolours Half-Day workshop
Suitable for beginners wanting to explore the findamentals of watercolour painting, Clare will lead you through basic brushwork and mark-making, what you need to know about paints, colours and mixing, and guide you in creating a number of mini paintings to take away.
Clare's friendly and encouraging teaching style will ensure all attendees will enjoy creating pieces they'll be proud of.
Expressive Watercolours Birds & Blossoms theme Half-day workshop
Following on from Clare's popular Expressive Watercolours workshop series, this session uses birds and blossoms as its theme, with exercises and work on a painting you'll finish on the workshop, based on source material pprovided. Ideal for those who've ppainted before, but also open to beginners keen to learn.
At a Glance:
- Create watercolour paintings with natural themes including flowers and plants
- Classes strictly limited to 6 places to ensure plenty of attention
- Artist watercolours and heavy weight watercolour paper supplied
- Refreshments during the session including herbal teas, decaffeinated drinks & gluten-free biscuits
- Classes run from 10am to 12-30pm (aoprox) at Vitreus Art's Northants studio near Towcester
- Please note - these workshops take place upstairs - contact us if this would be a problem

Please bring some reasonable quality watercolour brushes if you have them - or if not you can borrow some from Clare.
