In these three lively workshops Stacey, aka Meet The Moon Designs will teach you how to create beautiful papercut art. Suitable for beginners and equally suitable for anyone who's already tried papercutting and wants to learn new techniques.
Stacey has created these new workshops for us for 2025:
Framed Nature Art Papercutting Workshop - 3.5 hours, suitable for beginners and up; £79 inc VAT per person (takes place upstairs)
On these longer papercut art workshops you'll create a beautiful framed nature scene - all framed to finish off your artwork.
The workshop starts with some practice execises to get you ready to start cutting out your paper according to the designs Stacey has created. Sacey's workshops are often described by attendees as the perfect blend of art and mindfulness!
- Learn the basics of papercutting including safely using the knife, practising the techniques and then creating your own paper art
- Nature themes for 2025 include Riverbank, Hare and Puffin - see dates below
- Framing your scene to finish it off
- Widely spaced workspaces
- Refreshments during the session including herbal teas, decaffeinated drinks & gluten-free biscuits
- Make a paper cut card or gift tag as time allows
Seasonal Workshops with Stacey
Papercut Celebration Card Making or Initial Letter Workshop - 2 hours, suitable for beginners and up; £59 inc VAT per person
On this short introduction to papercut art you'll make a selection of seasonal greetings cards or a funky botanical Initial Letter based on printed templates designed by Stacey.
- Make cards for Mothering Sunday, Easter, Christmas or any occasion depending on season
- Initial Letters also make great cards!
- Stacey will provide a template for every letter of the alphabet to work from
- Learn the basics of papercutting including safely using the knife, practising the techniques and then choose your main design
- Choice of coloured papers for your cards
- Make a second or third card as time allows
- Additional templates provided to try at home
- AM session runs from 10am to 12 noon
- PM session runs from 2pm - 4pm
For all Papercut Art workshops at Vitreus Art:
- Classes strictly limited to 6 places to ensure plenty of personal attention
- Spacious workspaces provided
- All Materials, frames and practise templates provided
- Widely spaced workspaces

About Stacey Young, aka. Meet The Moon Designs - Papercut Artist
I’m a papercutting artist and Illustrator based in Buckinghamshire. I love cutting paper (or ‘Kirigami’ as it’s called in Japan) and specialise in making beautiful creations using only a single sheet of paper and a knife – everything is hand cut, no laser machines here!
After a long career within the creative industry, I decided to become a papercutting artist full time and in 2018 I started running my papercutting workshops, craft parties and corporate events teaching others how to have a go themselves. Inspiration for my designs comes from everywhere and my love of typography, architecture and nature is often reflected in my work.
