Glass Fusing - Flowers or Meadows Curved Art Half-day Class
Short workshops with Jenny Timms & Mike Caddy

"Money well spent, shall return for more!." - Cedric

Slumped Glass Fusing - creating beautiful curved glass forms with texture, for beginners and those with some glass fusing experience.

On this workshop you'll learn how to create beautiful, textured fused glass art, combining glass chunks, glass frit, crushed glass, enamel pens and stringers. No glass cutting is required on this half-day session.

We'll teach you how to make a flower or meadow themed S-Curve approximately 24cm wide, like the ones shown.
This is a great introduction to basic fusing - and you'll make a piece you're sure to love displaying at home!

Slumping involves adding form to fused glass after its initial firing. You'll create the flat form for your project first, and after the first tack firing these will be 'slump-fired' in to the mould.
Once cooled your piece will be ready for collection!

You can design the decoration of your own S-Curve, or take inspiration from the examples in the gallery.

The starting point for your project on this class is a base layer of COE 90 clear fusible glass. We'll teach you how to use the frits, noodles, enamel pens and crushed coloured glass to create the flowers shapes or meadow scene..
This workshop is perfect for beginners!

The course cost of £79 inc VAT per person includes:

  • Fusible glass sheet for the basis of your project - cut to shape in advance
  • Clear and coloured fusible glass frit, enamel pens and stringers to make your project
  • Use of all tools and apron
  • Refreshments during the session including herbal teas, decaffeinated drinks & gluten-free biscuits
  • Maximum class size 6 people for individual attention
  • Both kiln firings
  • All your work to keep, after all firings are complete
  • Class runs from the times shown below at our Northants studio near Towcester
